On-Line Safety Pledge

I hereby promise to always follow these Safety Rules while surfing the World Wide Web. I know that these rules are serious and that by following them, I will be a safe web surfer.

I promise:

Ø Not to give out personal information like my address, phone number, or the name of my school without my parent’s permission.

Ø To tell my parents or teacher if I read or see something that makes me feel uncomfortable.

Ø Never to agree to get together with someone I met online without first checking with my parents. If my parents say it’s okay, then the meeting will be in a public place and I will bring one or both of my parents along.

Ø Never to send my picture or anything else to a person I’ve met online.

Ø Never to respond to messages that are mean or make me feel uncomfortable.

Ø To obey the rules my parents and school have set for me when I can go online.

I agree to obey all the rules in the Acceptable Use Policy. I understand that if these rules are not followed, there will be consequences.
