I designed this web site to be a reference for teachers of 8th grade special education students to be used in a Literacy/Language Arts class. The four novels included in this site are award winning, high-interest, and exciting.
The philosophy behind the development of this site is that a child's interest can be piqued, regardless of his or her reading level, by using books of this nature.
Included in each unit are what I feel to be the pertinent teaching materials that will enable you, as educators, to complete each unit. Naturally, you will want to incorporate your own ideas and build upon what I have offered you.
By introducing voculary with each section of chapters, students will be given the opportunity to actively participate in Language Arts activities.
Click on the various topics in the following Table of Contents and you will be receive an overview of how to utilize this site...hopefully with minimal frustration!
