I have included various assessment tools in this unit that can be utilized  throughout the novel study. Below is a listing of the rubrics that I have experienced success with.

• Vocabulary and Written Expression quizzes administered at the completion of chapter sections will evaluate vocabulary usage and reading comprehension.
• A Class Participation Rubric will evaluate daily participation, behavior, and preparedness.
• Using a teacher prepared Journal Rubric, students' journals will be evaluated at the mid-way point and completion of the novel. 
• A Student Teacher Rubric will evaluate student's role as student teacher. 
• A Power Point Rubric will evaluate Power Point presentations.
• Using a teacher prepared Self-Evaluation Rubric, students will evaluate for theunit plan and their individual performances as student teacher.
