You are about to read a story that is part mystery,

part play-along-game, and part do-it-yourself puzzle.

It is a fascinating medley of games, disguises, and aliases.

This novel is the story of Sam Westing, the owner of Westing Paper Products, who dies and names as his beneficiaries the most mismatched group of characters. They are all instructed to sign a contract that requires them to reside in Sunset Towers which is located on Lake Michigan. One by one the tenants are summoned to Sam Westing's home for a meeting. At the meeting they learn that they are each heirs to Sam Westing's estate and in order to obtain their inheritance they must play the Westing Game.

The cast of characters includes mothers, fathers, a dressmaker, a secretary, an inventor, a doctor, a judge, a bookie, a burglar, a bomber, and ....a mistake.

While reading this book you will be called on to observe what the surroundings, solve problems, analyze the importance of friendships versus money, and decide what really matters in life.
