Mark gets in the path of a blue light that transports him to a jungle that is unlike any jungle he has read about. Here he is confronted with unusual occurrences that test his survival skills, dangerous animals he must defend himself from, and people unlike any he has previously come into contact with.
He eventually adjusts to this strange new world and finds, after he falls in love, that he would be perfectly content to remain here. However, after making a startling discovery,Mark realizes that he has no choice but to return to his own world.
