What does PTO do?

The Tighe Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a non-profit organization comprised of parents/guardians, school faculty and administration. Our focus is to promote the active participation and involvement of all parents/guardians with Tighe School. This is accomplished through fundraising, monthly meetings, educational seminars, special events, and much more.

Last year, the PTO provided financial funding for special assemblies held at school, school dances, the graduation dinner & dance, adult education programs, and supported student volunteer activities such as the "Born to Read" Program.

Our members plan numerous activities throughout the year which are designed to raise money to support the current programs. We look forward to becoming a more valuable resource to parents, while continuing to develop new programs which benefit our students, their families, and the school.

.How can I help?

It's easy and there are many ways to help! You can volunteer to become involved in one of the committees which will be formed to coordinate our fundraiser's, student activities, etc. Or.. you can attend our meetings and provide us with your ideas and concerns. Best of all. you can help spread the word and encourage your friends and family to attend! We are available online and welcome your comments and suggestions at tighepto@margateschools.org.
