THE ROTHENBERG CENTER FOR FAMILY LIFE Parenting is one of life’s most rewarding and challenging jobs. The Rothenberg Center for Family Life at Jewish Family Service offers programs to help families meet the ordinary and sometimes extraordinary challenges they face through our parenting series and personal parent coaching services. The parenting series for 2009 includes workshop topics such as coping with anger and dealing with sibling rivalry. Please note that all programs are open to the public for a nominal fee. WORKSHOP TOPIC COPING WITH ANGER 2/5/09, 2/12/09 & 2/19/09 (9:30-11:30 am) Anger an emotion experienced by both parent and child. Gain invaluable skills to help you cope with anger in positive ways while preserving parent/child dignity and self-esteem. WORKSHOP TOPIC DEALING WITH SIBLING RIVALRY 3/12/09, 3/19/09 & 3/26/09 (9:30-11:30 am) Don’t get caught in the crossfire. Arm yourself with the right skills to feel more confident when choosing when/how to intervene and when to let your children work it out alone. PERSONAL COACHING FOR PARENTS Meet individually with a Parent Educator to discuss personal concerns and situations you may have with your children. Personal coaching provides an opportunity to have your unique needs met through individually designed parenting education.
