Through fairytale stories, creative songs, improvisational role-playing and mini-audition exercises, campers will tap into their personal creativity and find their voice, in a safe environment, amongst their peers. This camp, designed by casting director: Kathy Wickline, will teach campers to conceptualize the format needed to work in the fields of television: anchoring and hosting. During the first part of the week, campers will gain experience in all aspects of News Programming: Anchoring, Sports Announcing For News, Weather, Consumer Reports, Medical Reports, Field and Traffic Reporting and Sports Broadcasting. The camp instructor will help in casting the roles best suited for each camper. During the second part of the week, campers will gain experience in all aspects of Television Hosting: Music Television Hosting, Talk Show Hosting, Entertainment Programming, Cooking/Decorating Hosting and Home Shopping Hosting. Campers will learn just like the professionals by delivering under “deadlines” and producing original material while working as an ensemble (cast & crew). Orders Will Be Taken After Camp For A Professionally Edited D.V.D. That Will Be Available For Purchase. Note: Minimum Number Of Students Required To Run Camp.

This NEW camp, designed by casting director: Kathy Wickline, is for the aspiring young “star” in your household. Campers will learn real auditioning skills by working with scripts for commercial and film reads. Campers will learn how to characterize and follow direction, block for the camera and read with their “co-stars.” Improvisation and adlibbing off the script will be taught as a basis of creating characters.
