MY JOB AS SCHOOL NURSE I am responsible for initiating and maintaining the health records and performing the health screenings for all the students at Union Avenue School and the Blessed Sacrament Regional School in Margate, N.J. I teach health to all Kindergarten students and the BABES program (Beginning Alcohol and Drug Awareness Basic Education Series) to all 1st graders at Union Avenue School. Providing first aid, overseeing the health and well being of all students and staff, and administering medication when prescribed are also included in the duties of the school nurse.
