Summer Reading Policy

  • boy read The Margate City Board of Education supports the belief that reading is essential to learning; therefore, all district children will be required to read at least one grade appropriate book per month during the school year. Each child must select a book from the provided list, and will be required to submit a written report to his/her classroom teacher. 

    In addition, each child will be required to read two grade appropriate books during the summer. Each child must select a book from the provided list and submit a written report at the beginning of the school year to his/her classroom teacher.
