Surfriders -Margate School Club

Under the supervision of Mrs. Chelsi Crompton, the Margate School club of the Atlantic County chapter of the Surfrider Foundation meets regularly to tackle environmental concerns and challenges. They have facilitated recycle drives, beach cleanups, and also participated in the landscape planting of native species in front of Tighe School.

For the 2017-2018 school year, students fall project involved buidling a scarecrow out of plastic bags and straws in an effort to raise awareness of environmental hazards of single-use plastics.
