The summer of 2017 saw the installation of two water bottle filling stations at Tighe School. One station is located outside the nurse's office and the other in the gym. More sanitary than a traditional water fountain, these hydration stations are a convenient and healthy way to encourage the regular consumption of water throughout the school day. Aside from the health benefits of proper daily hydration with water rather than more sugary alternatives, the use of refillable water bottles significantly reduces the environmental (and costly) impact of plastic water bottles.
Many students already use their own water bottles each day an we look forward to encouraging more widespread use.
We will continue to seek out future grants or other funding to outfit Ross School with their own hydration stations in addition to adding more at Tighe.
